Lower Liffey Valley Regional Sewerage Scheme - Leixlip Transfer Pipeline and Wastewater Network Upgrade

Wastewater Project

Uisce Éireann has completed works as part of €35 million investment to upgrade the wastewater network serving Leixlip and the surrounding areas.

The Greater Dublin Drainage Study (GDSDS) was completed in 2005 and comprised a strategic assessment of the existing wastewater network in Dublin (Fingal, South Dublin, Dublin City, and Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown), Meath, Kildare and Wicklow. This study identified strategic recommendations for wastewater infrastructure requirements. This project forms part of Uisce Éireann's investment plan to upgrade wastewater services in the area.

Uisce Éireann has identified that an upgrade to the existing wastewater network is required in the Greater Dublin Area to facilitate existing and future development in the area and to ensure a resilient wastewater network.
