Limerick City Lead Replacement
National Leakage Reduction Programme
Uisce Éireann, in partnership with Limerick City and County Council, has replaced lead service connections in South Circular Road, Limerick City to ensure a safer and more secure water supply to customers.
The works were carried out as part of Uisce Éireann's National Leakage Reduction Programme. The project delivered the replacement of public side lead on individual service pipes which connect the customers property to the public water mains. The existing lead were replaced with modern high density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic pipes.

Property owners were notified if it was likely that there is lead present within the boundary of their property. Property owners are responsible for replacing this lead.
