Dublin Region Water Mains Rehabilitation Project
The Dublin Region Water Mains Rehabilitation Project has been established to assist in reducing leakage by identifying and replacing water mains that are prone to bursts, leaks and low water pressure due to their age. Many pipes in the region date back to Victorian times and this project will benefit not only in the reduction of leakage from pipes but also in improved water pressure to homes and businesses and improved levels of service and security of supply.
Uisce Éireann is targeting water conservation through the reduction of leakage as a priority and the Water Mains Rehabilitation Project and similar programmes will be prioritised across the country.
