Crumlin Water Main Replacement
National Leakage Reduction Programme
Uisce Éireann, in partnership with Dublin City Council, is replacing ageing cast iron water mains in Crumlin to improve security of supply, improve water quality and reduce high levels of leakage.
The works involve the replacement of approximately 2.6 kilometres of old cast iron water mains mains most of which is in place since the early 1900's with high density polyethylene (plastic) pipes. The works are planned to commence in the coming weeks. The locations that will benefit from these improvements are:
- Stannaway Road
- Devenish Road
- Tonguefield Road
- Blarney Park
- Cloyne Road
- Bangor Road
- Kilfenora Road
The works will be carried out on behalf of Uisce Éireann by GMC Utilities Group and the construction phase is expected to take approximately 4 weeks to complete.

Steps
- The works may involve some short-term water shut offs and the project team will ensure that customers are given a minimum of 48 hours notice prior to any planned water shut offs
- Traffic management will be in place during this time
