Wastewater Project
Works completed at two sites in Sligo to improve the water quality in the Owenmore River.
Works are now complete to upgrade the Collooney and Ballymote Wastewater Treatment Plants.
The upgraded wastewater treatment plants provide for a greater capacity and greatly improve the quality of the final effluent leaving the plants. The upgrade works represent a total investment of over €9.9 million which have improved water quality in the Owenmore River and support economic growth and development in Ballymote and Collooney. The works were delivered by Veolia on behalf of Uisce Éireann.
