Water supply returning to Uisce Éireann customers in West Roscommon
Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section.
Uisce Éireann crews have successfully carried out repairs on the Granlahan Public Water Supply and water is returning to customers.
A mechanical failure on the supply had impacted customers in Cloonfad, Granlahan, Ballinlough, Cloonbonniffe, Trien, Loughglynnn, Lisacul and surrounding areas this morning.
However, repairs were completed this morning, and the system is now recharging.
Uisce Éireann acknowledges the inconvenience caused by interruptions to the water supply and we very much appreciate our customers’ co-operation while our crews worked to carry out the repairs.
The network is replenishing and supply is returning to customers, but it may take a number of hours before a normal supply is returned to all, especially those at the end of the network or on higher ground.
Uisce Éireann is committed to keeping customers informed across multiple platforms 24/7 and we encourage customers to engage with us through our website, X channels @IWCare and @IrishWater, on Facebook and LinkedIn and through our customer care helpline which is open 24/7 on 1800 278 278.

Uisce Éireann is working to restore water to customers in parts of West Roscommon this morning following a mechanical failure impacting the Granlahan Public Water Supply.
Water services crews are on the ground this morning carrying out the necessary repair works. Every effort is being made to maintain water supply to as many customers as possible. However, homes and businesses in Cloonfad, Granlahan, Ballinlough, Cloonbonniffe, Trien, Loughglynnn, Lisacul and surrounding areas may be experiencing low pressure or water outages.
Uisce Éireann understands the inconvenience of unplanned outages and reduced pressure and we thank customers for their support while the repair works are ongoing this morning.
Repairs are expected to be complete later this morning. Typically, it takes two to three hours following repairs for normal supply to restore to all customers affected by an unplanned outage. However, it may take longer for normal supply to be restored to customers on higher ground or at the end of the network.
Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct communications from us for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours. To register as a vulnerable customer or as an alternative contact, please visit our Vulnerable Customer page.
