Water supply returning for impacted customers in Abbeydorney, Kilflynn, Leith, and Tralee, County Kerry

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section.

Following a watermains burst at Lissanearla, Tralee, water services crews have carried out repairs to restore the water supply to impacted customers.

Up to 500 customers in Abbeydorney, Kilflynn, Leith, Listowel Road, Tralee and surrounding areas may have been impacted by reduced water pressure and/or water outages. We understand how disruptive unplanned outages are and we regret the inconvenience caused.

Following repair works, it typically takes two to three hours for normal supply to fully be restored to all areas as the water refills the network, especially for those on higher ground or at the end of the network.

As per best practice, most  homes and businesses will have on-site water storage to provide a backup source of water for sanitation purposes.

The Uisce Éireann customer care helpline is open 24/7 on 1800 278 278 and customers can also contact us on Twitter @IWCare with any queries. For updates, please see the Supply and Service Updates page  (Reference number: KER00085077).

Uisce Éireann has launched a free text service, providing real-time updates for local issues. Customers can sign up with their Eircode and mobile number at the Water Service Updates page.
