Uisce Éireann National Laboratory Construction Update
Construction of the new laboratory is proceeding at pace, with the main laboratory building now weather tight, and internal portioning/studwork, and mechanical and electrical fit-out now approximately 50% complete. The main construction works are expected to be completed in in the latter half of the year, after which fit out of the new Laboratory equipment will commence.
As part of Uisce Éireann's sustainability goals, a BREEAM rating of Excellent is being targeted.
It is anticipated that the new National Laboratory will commence operations in 2026.

Construction on the new 3,800 square metre Uisce Éireann National Laboratory is progressing well, with the construction phase commencing in March of this year, with the official sod-turning by Minister of State Kieran O'Donnell taking place on the 30th of March.
With all principle foundations now complete, and steel delivery and erection commencing in early June, the overall construction phase is expected to take approximately 2 years, followed by a commissioning period.
