Uisce Éireann advises of planned outage impacting some customers in Elphin
Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section.
Uisce Éireann wishes to advise customers in Elphin and surrounding areas that they may experience low pressure/water outages on Tuesday, 8 October. The outage is to facilitate the installation of a new watermain in the Creeve area as part of the N5 Ballaghaderreen to Scramogue road project, currently underway in the Elphin area.
To facilitate these works, a water outage is necessary and customers may experience supply interruption between 8am and 4pm on Tuesday, 8 October.
The areas that may be impacted include Creeve, Kilnamryall, Barrinagh, Ross Elphin, Ballyroddy, Ambow Cross and surrounding areas.
Uisce Éireann’s Gerard Greally said: “Every effort will be made to reduce the impact of these works on homes and businesses and restore the water supply as quickly as possible. We understand the impact that outages can have on customers and would like to thank the local community in advance for their patience and co-operation during the works.”
As the water supply returns, there may be some increased instances of discoloured water in the short-term. For helpful tips on what to do following an outage, visit our Outage page.
