Our crews are working to repair burst impacting Kildysart and surrounding areas in Co. Clare

Our crew are working to restore water supply as quickly as possible following a burst watermain, impacting customers in Kildysart, Coolmeen, and surrounding areas in Co. Clare.

Expert water service crews have been dispatched and are working to minimise disruption and carry out the required repair works, with every effort being made to complete this work as quickly as possible. Works are scheduled to take place until 8pm this evening.

Uisce Éireann’s Darragh Conneely, regrets the inconvenience for customers, adding: “We understand how disruptive unplanned outages are and we regret the inconvenience caused. We would like to thank impacted customers for their patience while we work on repairs and restore the water supply as quickly as possible.”

Following repair works, it typically takes three to four hours for normal supply to be fully restored to all areas as the water refills the network, especially for those on higher ground or at the end of the network. Some customers may experience delays with  their water returning; however, supply should be fully restored for all customers by the early hours of Saturday morning, 08 March.

Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct communications from us for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours.
