Nighttime water restrictions lifted in Castlecomer

Nighttime water restrictions in place in Castlecomer and the surrounding areas have been lifted. Uisce Éireann will continue to monitor water levels and ensure that customers are updated should any further restrictions be required.

The restrictions were necessary due to low water levels in the reservoir and to ensure a daytime supply.

Uisce Éireann thanks customers for their patience during the restrictions and especially for their efforts to conserve water.  

Shane Aylward of Uisce Éireann said “We have been monitoring the water levels in the reservoir since the nighttime restrictions were in place and I am happy to report that levels have now recovered and the restrictions have been lifted.”
