Night-time restrictions essential for Trim to maintain daytime supply

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section

Uisce Éireann advises customers in Trim and surrounding areas that a further overnight restriction is essential to maintain a daytime supply.

The nighttime restriction will be in place from 10pm tonight, Wednesday, 20 November, until 6am tomorrow morning, Thursday, 21 November, to allow local reservoir levels recharge.

Customers in the following areas may experience outages or reduced pressure and/or discolouration: Trim, Rathmolyon, Knightsbrook, Scurlockstown, Effernock, Carberstown, Clonbun, Blackfriary, Crowpark and surrounding areas.

Uisce Éireann’s Michael Cunniffe thanked customers for their patience during the restrictions and especially for their efforts to conserve water.

Customers can help conserve water by not running taps needlessly, taking showers instead of baths and to postpone using dishwashers and washing machines where possible. Customers can also find lots of useful water saving tips on our website www.water.ie/conserve. This also includes an easy-to-use conservation calculator so you can work out how much water you are currently saving and how to conserve even more.

Uisce Éireann continues to monitor reservoir levels daily and will provide an update if further restrictions are needed.

Uisce Éireann is committed to keeping customers informed across multiple platforms 24/7 and we encourage customers to engage with us through our website, X channels @IWCare and @IrishWater, on Facebook and LinkedIn and through our customer care helpline which is open 24/7 on 1800 278 278.

Uisce Éireann has launched a free text service, providing real-time updates for local issues. Customers can sign up with their Eircode and mobile number at the Water Service Updates page.
