Essential overnight works for Knocknacarra next Tuesday

Crews will carry out essential works in Knocknacarra next Tuesday night. 

The works, which will take place from 11pm on the night of Tuesday, 8 April until 5am on the morning of Wednesday, 9 April may result in a disruption of supply or intermittent outages for Uisce Éireann customers in the area. 

Approximately 2,439 customers in Seacrest, Clybaun Heights, Forest Hills, Tudor Close, Rusheen Woods, Monalee Heights and Shangort Park may be affected. 

The works will address instances of low pressure in the area and help to prevent the leakage of clean drinking water from the network. 

Temporary traffic management measures will be put in place for the duration of the repair works. However, local and emergency traffic will be facilitated at all times. 

Uisce Éireann’s Leo O’Shea thanked affected customers for their co-operation ahead of the essential works. 

“We wish to acknowledge the inconvenience caused by a planned outage and assure affected customers that crews will complete the works as quickly as possible to restore normal water supply by Wednesday morning,” said Leo. 

Typically, it takes two to three hours following repairs for normal supply to restore to all customers. However, it may take longer for normal supply to be restored to customers on higher ground or at the end of the network.
